Arlington, VA Celebrates 250 Years

Please join numerous poets and writers along with the 1st U.S. Regiment in celebration of Arlington 250 The event is sponsored by the Arlington Historical Society.

The event will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10AM to 5PM at

Kenmore Middle School

200 S. Carlin Springs Road

Arlington, VA

Around 1PM the 1st U.S. Regiment is scheduled to perform a fife-and-drum demonstration, to last around 20-30 minutes.

The poetry program will follow:

2:15 PM--In Memoriam reading

featuring the work of Hilary Tham, Robert Sargent, John Elsberg and other poets.

3:15 PM--IOTA reading

featuring Karren Alenier, Dean Blehert, Tod Ibrahim and Steven B. Rogers.

4:15 PM--Publishers reading

featuring Robert L. Giron, Richard Peabody and Martha Sanchez-Lowery.

The event is free and all are invited.
